remember y - y sub1 = m(x - x sub1) m = slope they y and x stay the same and you input your values y - 5 = 3(x - 2)

y - 5 = 3 ( x - 2 )

y2-y1=m(x2-x1) where m is the slope, and (x2,y2) is the point...hence...point/slope form.y-5=3(x-2)

disregard my last post, i had the 'points' mislabled...it should be..y2-y1=m(x2-x1) where m is the slope, and (x1,y1) is the point...hence...point/slope form.y-5=3(x-2)
