First you have to write the two equations in slope-intercept form (y=mx+b)x+2y=4                                               3x-y=5is                                                         isy=-1/2x+2                                           y=3x-5Graph these two equations and find the intersection of the two lines. The intersection is (2,1). The ordered pair is a solution of the system.

Just plug in 2 for x and 1 for y and if the two statements are true, then it is a solution.
