first, distribute the parentheses (multiply the quantity (n+1) by -2n^2):n^3-2n^3-2n^2and then combine like terms:-n^3-2n^2(use the chevron to write powers: n squared = n^2)

n^3 -2n^2 + n + 1I don't think you can make superscripts.
