You are working with the "mean" or "average" of each student.  You need to ask yourself, "What number divided by 4 (the 3 tests each took and the next 1 they will take) will give me 80 for an answer.  If the 4 tests all total 320 points, then when you divide by 4 you will get an average or mean of 80.What you need to do is total each person's 3 test scores and subtract that number from 320.  That is what each person needs to score to average 80. For the person who has only taken 2 tests you need to have a total of 240 for 3 tests to have an average of 80.240 divided by 3 equals 80.
