Maybe when you read at home, you can try to read out loud. For some people, this can improve their comprehension and reading skills.Also try to take practice tests, and train your mind to find the most important information in passages by using specialized SAT books.

Between now and October, use the that time to read articles, such as New York Times ( this will also help on your vocab if you look words up). I'm doing the same thing so good luck!!
