how would you go about solving for (2x/5-y/2=13/2) and (3x/4-y/5=17/2) I know I have to find a least common multiple that divides equally into the bottom halves of the fractions, or the denominator?.

I assume you meant to type: (2x/5) - (y/2) = (13/2) The LCD is 5 times 2 = 10. For (3x/4) - (y/5) = (17/2) The LCD here is 20.
