first you have to multiply the #'s that correspond to (a) and (c) together. here it would be 2×1=2. now you need to find 2 numbers that multiplied together give you the product of a×c(2) and added together give you the # that corresponds to (b), or 3. here the answer is 2 and 1. now what you do is place them as (x+2)(x+1). finally you divide the 2 and the 1 by (a) or 2. since 1/2 gives you a decimal, you place the 2 in front of the x inside the same parenthesis.Answer:2×1=2, 2+1=3             (x+2/2)(x+1/2)→(x+1)(2x+2)-sorry about all the writing
