Well if you have the coordinates 2,3 and your reflecting it over the x-axis then the new coordinates would be 2, -3. If you then reflected it over the y-axis then the coordinates would be -2, -3. Flipping that over the x-axis would change it to -2, 3. Finally flipping that over the y-axis would give you 2,3, what we started out with. So when reflecting the coordinate numbers stay the same but whether they are negative or positive change. When you reflect over the y-axis it seems that you change the x-coordinate to the opposite sign. If reflecting, or flipping, over x-axis you change the y-coordinate.
