Similar to the co- in coworker, the prefix co- in these terms means the 'same'. Keep that in mind. coplaner means that two or more points share the same plane. colinear means that two or more points share the same line.

I wish I could edit my post!... when I say they 'share' the same plane or line, I mean they are located on it.

Coplanar means that the two are in the same plane.Collinear means that the two are on the same line.Hope this helps.

the Co means to share and the linear for CoLinear means a line right? so put it toegether and you basically get a shared line so the line has shared points on the Same linecoplanar is the same thing: co means share and planar means plane so put it together and it has points on a shared plane
