y = mx + b right? So find the slope first....
m = (4-13)/(4-2) = -9/2
Now plug in the slope...
y = (-9/2)x + b
Now plug in one of the points...
13 = (-9/2)(2) + b
Solve for b....
13 = -9 + b
b = 22
Now put m and b back into the slope intercept form....
y = (-9/2) x + 22
I usually then test the 2nd point to check... (4,4) in this case and it does check!!!
