median is considered a central tendency, meaning there's a number that everything relates back to. To find the median you do the following...1. cross out numbers in pairs from opposite sides...6, 11, 12, 10, 5  , 8 ,2. IF you have ONE number left in the MIDDLE then that would be the median...HOWEVER, if you have TWO numbers left in the MIDDLE then you would ADD the two numbers together...12 + 10 = 22... then take their SUM and DIVIDE it by 2...22/ 2 = 11and walah there is your median !hope that helps

It would be 9 actually because you need to rearange the numbers in order like this 5,6,8,10,11,12 then cross out the two on the ends and u are left with 8 and 10 well what is the only whole numbe betewen  8 and 10 is 9 so it will be nine :)

so basically, when youre given a sequence of numbers, you have to first rearrange the numbers in order from least to greatest. 5, 6, 8 10, 11, 12 then you find the very middle number! 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12 sometimes, its not one, but 2 middle numbers. in this case, 8 and 10 you add them together, and divide by 2, since there are 2 of them. 8+10= 18 18 ÷ 2= 9 median is 9
