How do you know that there is a linear pair? In other words, what shows you that there is a linear pair? I really would like this question answered please.Thank you.

Well, you should know that a linear pair is a pair of adjacent angles formed when two lines intersect. You also should know that  2 angles of a linear pair are always supplementary, which means their measures adds up to 180 degrees. What shows you that they are a linear pair is: identifying 2 adjacent angles formed by 2 lines that intersect.
