First add 3 to each side of the equation.  Then divide by the sqrt 3 on each side.  Now you have Tan x = 3/sqrt3.  Now take the arctan of each side of the equation.  that will tell you x.  which is 60 degrees or pi/3 in radians

it is little confusing the way you posted your question. but if you are talking about what i think. i hope i can help you. is it square root of 3 tan theta -3=0? if then, square both sides. it gives you. 3 tan theta - 3 = 0 now solve 3 tan theta= 3 divide both sides by 3. tan theta = 1 when is the tan theta equals to 1? now, for that. you can use your calculator. press tan inverse 1 and  enter gives you 45 degree. now to find all the possible answers, you have to first look at the sign before 1. which is positive. now, we know, tangent = sin / cosine what are the sign that we have to have for sin and cosine to get tangent positive? well, under two condition, either both has to be positive in sign or be negative sign (which when divided will be positive) so, what quadrant is (+,+) and (-, -)? its 1st and 3rd. we already have 45 degree as in first quadrant. left to find degree in third quadrant. which will be (180+45) = 225 degree. so this are the answers: 45 and 225 degrees.

and if you meant square root of 3 and separate tan theta- 3=0 then, add three both sides; sqrt3 tan theta = 3 divide both sides by sqrt 3; tan theta = 3/ sqrt3 now since you cant leave the denominator in the form of squareroot, you have to multiply nominator and denominator by sqrt3. youll have: tan theta = 3(sqrt3) divided by 3 3 cancels out remains tan theta = sqrt 3. now when is the tan theta sqrt 3? find it using your calculator. press tan inverse sqrt 3. and enter. your answer for theta wil be 60 degree. now, finding all the possible answers: now look bck again tan theta= sqrt 3 what would be the sign infront of sqrt 3? it will be both positive and negative. wheneve you take sqrt of any number, u've both signs. since,we know, tan = sin / cosine. we know our tangent would be both positive and negative, therefore  you ll ve  one answer from each quadrant. one of them u found it = 60 degree. other wud b; (180 - 60) = 120 degree (180 + 60) = 240 degree and ( 360-60) =300 degree.
