I can't seem to find anything on multiplying a number by a square root. Like, 9√242. could somebody perhaps clarify on how do to that? Thanks

First, u see if u can actually factorize inside the root√242= √(2 * 11 * 11 ) Since we have the same number twice i.e. 11, we can take it out of the root. thus, giving us,√242 = √(2 * 11 * 11) = 11√2and back to the question,9√242 = 9* 11√2 = 99√2u multiply root with root and square root with square root.another example :3√72 * 4√11 = 3*√(2*2*2*3*3) * 4√11we have 2 twice and 3 twice inside the square root.so we can take it out leaving only one 2 inside the root.                     = 3* (2*3)√2 * 4√11      = 18√2 * 4√11      = 72√22
