instantaneous velocity is finding the velocity at a single point whereas average velocity is finding the velocity between two points.

instantaneous velocity is the velocity at a certain point for a certain amount of time. for example the instantaneous velocity is 4m/s at 3s. its only for tht instant time.while on the other hand, average velocity is the velocity between two points or more.
