The answer is false. Say triangle A has sides 12 + 8 + 10. The perimeter of triangle A = 30. Say triangle B has sides 10 + 10 + 10, then perimeter is also 30. Both triangles have a perimeter of 30 but the sides are different.

Not true just because the perimeters are the same does not mean that the sides have to be congruent.
