log8 (35) is a number...let's call it x.x = log8 (35)8^x = 8^[log8 (35)]8^x = 35log7 (8^x) = log7 (35)(x)(log7 (8)) = log7 (35)x = [log7 (35)] / [log7(8)]I hope that helps!

Use the change of base formula. log_b (x) = log_d(x)/log_d(b), where d = the base we want, b = the given base 8 and x = 35 log_8(35) = log_7(35)/log_7(8) Mathland
