ZachI'm not sure exactly what applications you are asking about, but I do know that linear equations of one variable are things like y = 4 or like x = 7. Linear equations in two variables are things like 3x + 2y = 12This is just a relationship between the values of x and y. Combinations of (x,y) that, when substituted into the linear equation, create true statements are all in the same line on a graph.
