First, gather the like terms.9x + 2/3x^2 - 2x - 8 + 7/3x^2 + x - 42/3x^2 + 7/3x^2 + 9x - 2x + x - 8 + 49/3x^2 + 8x - 4Simplify3x^2 + 8x - 4At this point, you could complete the square on this quadratic...but that's another lesson.The point is, there are LOTS of equivalent expressions.
