Why doesn't penicillin affect viruses, but yet affects bacteria?

Because penicillin only affects a cell wall and since bacteria has a cell wall, it is affected. On the other hand, Viruses do not have a cell wall, which answers the question.

Bacteria are cell but i dont think virus's are cells because they do not have all the parts that describe cells; and penicillin only affects cells
