In a recent test i had there was this question and i missed the question because i didnt know how to plug this into my calculator. Find the value: Sin 45(degrees)= _____

The answer is (sq. rt (2)/2) or 0.707106.  If you have a TI-83 or above then you have to press MODE and then select DEGREE, then go to FLOAT to select the number of decimal places and press ENTER.  Then press CLEAR.  Now, press SIN and then put in the number 45 and then ENTER to get answer..and it may be rounded to 0.71 if you only have 2 decimal places or .707107 if you have 6. In older calculators you need to have the calculator in Degree mode and then just key in 45 and then SIN and = and you'll get the same answer.  0.7071067...
