Logarithms must be used here, because 8 and 360 can not be written in the same base.  So, with that said, begin by taking the log base 10 of each side.  Next, bring down the exponent, 3x, using a logarithm property.  Finally, divide both sides by 3 log base 10 of 8.  The answer should look like this using a calculator:  log(360)/(3log(8)).  Hope this helps.
