What do mean by example and yes you would use substitution to solve for that

9x-7y=-44 5x+36=y 9x-7(5x+36)=-44 9x-35x-252=-44 -26x=208 x=-8 y=5(-8)+36 y=-40+36 y=-4 -8,-4
