the SAT has 10 sections: 1 mandatory essay, writing section,  multiple critical reading sections, and multiple math sections. The grades on each section are added out of a possible perfect score of 2400.the ACT has 1 critical reading section, 1 math section, 1 science section, and 1 english section. It has an optional essay section. The grades of each section are averaged on a scale of 1-36.I took them both and I think the ACT is way easier. The only problem you will have with the ACT is if you are a slow worker. There are many many questions and not that much time.
