How would I substitute in the equation y= x-3 and y= -3x=25?

I'm not sure because I think you have a typo.  But here's what i think you meant.since y = x-3 and y = -3x+25,x-3 = -3x+2Add 3x to each side: 4x-3 = 2add 3 to each side: 4x = 5divide each side by 5 so x = (5/4)Return to the equation y = x-3y = (5/4)-3 = -1.75 or -7/4the solution is [(5/4), (-7/4)]
