ok, the easiest way to start this would be to get rid of the fractions. fractions are pointless and just messy to deal with. you want to get x by itself, so i would multiply everything by four. this will get rid of the fractions and also free up the x a little bit. 4(3-x/4=5/2) 12-x=10 now just solve like you normally do. x=2
