What's better: to not answer the question or guess on the question while taking the SAT? My friend tried bragging in my face that skipping it is better, but he's not the brightest guy around.

It is better if you do not answer the question only if you absolutely do not know the answer to the question. If you are able to eliminate some answer choices like at least 3 then go for the guessing, you have a 50-50 of getting the correct answer. if you don't answer a question you will not be penalized. if you get an answer wrong .25 of a point will be taken off.
