6[16+4(10)]  you add 2+8 6[16+40]   you multiple 4x10 6[56]      you add 16+40 336:answer      you multiply 6[56]

you have to use PEMDAS Parentheses Exponents *Multiplication/Division *Addition/Subtraction * goes left to right
