-5x-10=-(x+4)-5x-10=-x-4-5x + x -10=x+ (-x)-4-4x-10=-4-4x-10+10=-4+10-4x=6-4x/-4=6/-4x=-6/4x= - 3/2i believe this is right

-5x - 10 = 2 -x - 4add x to the right and the left to get x on one side.-4x - 10 =  2 - 4-4x - 10 = -2add 10 to both sides to get 4x by itself.-4x = 8divide both sides by 4.x = 2.
