Chemistry Conversions 1) 5.01*10^6 m/hr→mm/sec 2) 9.30*10^8 cm/sec→Km/min

1 hr = 60 min = 3600 sec

1 km = 1000m

1m = 1000mm

1min = 60 sec

I want to see it step by step, thank you!

the key thing is to convert the units, so I'm going to leave out the number before the units since that won't change so you can just multiply it later1)  m/hr-> mm/sec.  1st, I want to get rid of the m on top and replace it w/mm.  In math, you can always multiply by 1.  In the details you said 1m=1000mm, so 1=1000mm/1m.m/hr (1000mm/m)= 1000mm/hr.  2nd, to change hr into sec, I do the same thing (1hr=3600sec, so 1hr/3600=1)1000mm/hr (1hr/3600 sec)=1000mm/3600sec=(1/3.6) mm/secplugging back in the constant:5.01x10^6/3.6 mm/sec= 1.39 x10^6 mm/sec2)cm/sec-> km/min -change Km to m to cmcm/sec (1km/1000m)=km*cm/1000m*seckm*cm/1000m*sec (1m/100cm)=1km*cm*m/1x10^5m*sec*cmkm/1x10^5 sec  to get rid of seckm/1x10^5 sec (60 sec/min)= 6x10^-4 km/minplug in the constant from the beginning:9.3x10^8(6x10^-4) km/min=55.8x10^4 km/min=5.58x10^5 km/min

you need to set up the equation in which all units cancel until the answer left with mm/sec for #1 and Km/min for #2.
