ok i have two similar figures. they want me to find x but the #'s aren't on the same sides?? and one is upside down?

You probably have to figure out which side corresponds to which in each figure.  How is it set up? Does it tell you any angles, or does it tell you in the instructions figure ABC ~ DEF (or something similar).  If that's how it says it in the instructions, you can figure it out that way, as A corresponds to D, B to E, etc.
