Hi Molly - Yes.  A linear equation is in "standard form" if it is written as follows: Ax + By = C where A and B are integers and A>0 Hope this helps

It probably depends on how your book defines it, but in general yes, you should have the x coefficient positive. Most teachers will define it that way.
