lets see, because we have a + before the 12, and a minus before the 7x, we know we have factors of the form (x-a)(x-b) = 0, and we just need to find a and b.We know that a*b must be 12 when multiplied out. So the possibilities are 12 and 16 and 23 and 4We also know that a + b = 7, and the only of the previous pairs that works for this is 3 and 4.  So we know that 3 and 4 are our missing numbers:(x - 3)(x - 4) = 0Which means x can be 3 or 4 to make the expression true. x = 3,4
