The ordered pair is put into the form, (x,y), meaning that from the origin, O, (0,0), (the place where the two axis intersect) you move the point x numbers to the right, where x is the x in your ordered pair. Then, from that point, you move y numbers up, where y is y in your ordered pair. So to graph the coordinates (3,4), I would start at the origin, move 3 units to the right, and then move 4 units up.
