I dont get this: Determine whether the fuction is linear or quadratic. Identify the quadratic, linear, and constant terms. y=(x+1)(6x-6)-6x^2

It is linear, because when you simplify, all the powers of the variables are 1 or less. There are no quadratic terms, because all variables are to the power of 1 or less. The linear terms is simply, y because y is the only variable to the power of 1. The constant term is -6, because it doesn't have a variable. When simplified, the equation is y=-6.
