the left side and right side of a critical point will never be both negatives or both positives, then it wouldnt be a critical point.

sorry my mistake,....if you have negative negative...then it will decrease , then decrease again

if the signs on both sides of a criticle point are the same it means that the value is constant between the intervals just because its a critical point does not mean it becomes a min or max
