Hey Carloes,\r\n\r\nJames Watson and Francis Crick are mainly redited, but there is some talk that Rosalind Franklin also layed a big role in it..\r\n\r\n\"The discovery of deoxyribonuc eic acid, more commonly known as DNA, has been the foundatio for much scientific work. This fundamental discovery was c edited to James Watson and Francis Crick. Many people belie e that another person, Rosalind Franklin, also played a lar e role in the research. How much did she contribute to the dis overy? Why is her name left unrecognized? This paper will di cuss her part in the search and whether her name should appea next to Watson\'s and Crick\'s as the co-discoverer of DNA\"

Francis Crick and James Watson are the guys who used the information coming from the work of Maurice Wilkins and Rosalind Franklin (plus others) to build a model that helped them figure out the structure of the DNA double helix. Dr. Franklin had one photo that gave a ton of info to Watson and Crick, including giving them conclusive evidence that it was a double helix. She died before the Nobel prize was awarded, so she was ineligible to win. Had she been alive, there's some debate whether the prejudice against women in science that was predominant then would have allowed her the recognition she deserved.

i think it was Francis Crick and James Watson, but you may well be right, because sometimes contributers to discoveries aren't rewarded, for unfair reasons

i agree with all the answers below, it's crick and watson, but they used information of rosalind franklin, because of the x-ray of the DNA structure, watson and crick figured it out.

Technically it was Franklin, but some feminists claim Crick and Watson ware sexists and let her get no credit.  Just have your details down and you'll be fine.  By the way, this is an issue because Franklin died within a few years.
