Let V be the amount of the vector (its length) and let A be the measure of angle of the vector from the horizontal and revolving counter clockwise from zero, to straight up (90 degrees). Further counter clockwise movement would put you into degrees between 90 and 180. Counter clockwise movement can also be described as the way your right hand fingers curl if your thumb is pointed at you.
The horizontal component is V*cosine (A)
The veritcal component is V*sine (A)
