Resolution of vestors is the method of finding the resultant vector by using the x component of the x-axis and the y component of the y axis. The x component is denoted as Ax and the y component as Ay. When you plot a right angle triangle where Ax is denoted as the horizontal vector, Ay the vertical vector and A as the resultant vector then once you have used trignometry you will find Cosθ=Ax/A, where θ is the angle b/w the vectors Ax and Ay. From the previous equatuon Ax=A*Cosθ. Similarly,  Sinθ=Ay/A and therefore Ay=A*Sinθ. Using these two derived formula you can resolve vectors. Note: magnitude of A=√Ax2 +Ay2 Hope This Helped
