It doesn\'t matter in the sense of changing your odds of getti g admitted. However, if you are able to make a visit, I would h ghly recommend it, since it would help you assess if that rea ly is the college where you want to spend the next couple of ye rs for your life. But if you can\'t, don\'t worry about getting n some sort of black list... those don\'t exist!

Formal college tours can be educational since these tour gu des can show you important student centers you can go to for t toring, study abroad information, internship/job resour es. \r\n\r\nBut overall, most campuses are open and allow for pr spective students to just walk around and attend large lect re halls (really will anyone notice you among the 400+ stude ts in the hall?). Attending smaller classes can be an issue t ough if you don\'t know another student in the class. \r\n\r\nOn t e flip side, I would highly recommend you visit campuses wit friends. You can garner true insight on the social and acade ic atmosphere of the campus. You can fully immerse into the s udent life that way, by staying at the dorms, eat at the dinin commons, and just hanging out with the students you could po entially taking classes with next year. This would be parti ularly helpful to students who aren\'t cure whether they wan to attend a small school or a big school.
