Mostly unicellular organisms which can easily carry out simple exchange processes like diffusion and osmosis. The most common example is amoeba which thrives in seawater, obtaining and excreting materials via diffusion. Yeast cell is another one that respires anaerobically in the presence of glucose, like when we make dough, gives off CO2 through diffusion. Same goes with simplistic organisms like the eukaryote fungus> spores released and mycelium form a meshwork on the host, like bread to obtain nutrients.
