Even though I only did grad school in the states. My experien e is get the application forms as soon as you can. The informa ion on them is quite involved, and you may spend weeks gettin everything together.\r\n\r\nGood luck btw!!!

I started researching colleges in probably the second seme ter junior year. It helped to talk to seniors who already sel cted what colleges they were going to and be able to ask them w y they chose that specific place to attend. \r\n\r\nThe actual a plication..I think I began a little bit after school starte . When the UC common app was first provided, I just glanced ov r the essay topics. Figuring out what you want to write about s always the hardest part and the more time you have to think a out it..the better. Also, what helped was that my English cl ss senior year actually had a portion of the syllabus dedica ed to College Application Essay writing. \r\n\r\nThe essay is t e most time-consuming and daunting aspect of the applicati n (the rest just takes diligence and tenacity). Since there re word (or character) limits for your essays, you will most ikely have to cut down your first draft and rework some phras s. Make sure you have enough time or multiple drafts. I canno emphasize enough how important it is to fine-tune your essa . Remember, there are thousands of applicants...the one be utifully worded phrase can make you stand out. \r\n\r\nNow, the est of the application requires you to pick and choice among your numerous activities) and summarize those activities \r\n\r\nStart early if you can and good luck!

Start compiling your resume in your Junior year. Recording information about your activities throughout the year early will help you latter on. Start the college app a month or so before the due date.

start your college applications earlier than others so you will have a better chance to be accepted. and write down the activities and clubs you did at school or for communities so you won't forget them later.

the usual time is when you are a senior, but you should have done some college searches way early. At the beginning of your senior year, about late septembers to early novembers the seniors will rush into the office and get the applications, the best to do is during august, talk to your councelor about the colleges you want to go to and they might already have the application at handy.

I'd start towards the beginning of your senior year, possibly  the summer before. Depends on the specific college sometimes.
