Sure! Use FOIL: First, Outer, Inner and Last... further ill stration:\r\nI will use (a+b)(c+d), and according to their p sition in the parenthesis:\r\nF - First: a*c\r\nO - Outer: a*d\r I - Inner: b*c\r\nL - Last: b*d\r\nIn your example, from O and I yo would get 6X and 5X, respectively, which would add to 11. The 0 would come from L, and x^2 would come from the F.

or doing it by parts\r\n\r\n(x+5)x + (x+5)*6\r\n\r\n= x^2 +5x + 6x +3 \r\n\r\n= x^2 +11x + 30
