Simplify both sides a bit by multiplying 5 with (2x-7) and -3 with (6x+4) 10x-35=33-18x-12 Simplify like terms 10x-35=21-18x Get like terms together (all the x's on one side, and constants on another) 10x+18x=21+35 Simplify 28x=56 Get x alone by dividing both sides by 28! x-2
