These are the steps you should follow:      ln(2x-1) = 0 => e^(ln(2x-1)) = e^0=> 2x-1 = 1=> 2x = 2=> x = 1Just remember that if you take any number to a logarithm of base that number (i.e. e^ln) they cancel out giving us the insides of the logarithm.
