What do I do if I am trying to find the coordinates for a given slope.    Ex. slope 2/3,  (2, )  ( ,7) What are the coordinates?

slope is defined as rise over run. so (y₂ - y₁) / (x₂ - x₁) = 2 / 3 (7 - y) / (x - 2) = 2/3   We then separate that into two different equations. 7-y = 2 x-2 = 3 We solve that to get y=5 and x=5
