People don't understand the physics of collisions with large massive objects like 18 wheeler trucks moving at 65 mph!  They don't understand that government bumper standards barely protect them, not the car at 5 mph.  They are convinced there is an oil company conspiracy against them, that technology can beat the laws of physics and they can be environmentally correct while riding along in their SUV's.
