The slope is 5... Because if you do the distributive property, which is 5 times x and 5 times 3, you get y+5=5x+15.... Put that in slope intercept form: y=5x+10, m is the slope so 5 is the slope!!! BTW, the slope intercept form is y=mx+b..... Hope that helped!!! :)

When you have an equation and you need to find the slope, you have to change the equation into slope-intercept form. Slope-intercept form is y=mx+b. In your case, you must distribute the 5 and multiply it by what's in the parentheses. So y+5=5x+15. Next, you subtract the 5 from both sides to get y=5x+10. Your equation is now in slope-intecept form. The slope is always m so in your case m is equal to 5. The slope is 5. That means that if you were to graph this equation the line would rise 5 and move to the right 1.
