The best method to use is your slope intercept form which is y=mx+b. By using this method you can plug in the information you have (12 is slope or "m"; 1 is your "x"; and 10 is your "y"). Solve the equation to find the "b". Then using your slope and your newly found "b" rewrite your slope-intercept form equation as y=12x (+ or -) "b". So basically it looks like this...10=12(1)+b10=12+b10-12=12-12+b-2=by=12x-2
