Alexandra -Domain is just a fancy word for the "input" to a function. For example, let f(x) = 3x - 2f(x) is the functionx is the "input" or domainIn Algebra, most questions on domain ask you what are the acceptable values.  In the example above, the domain can be any real number between -∞ and +∞.An example of a function where the domain excludes a value is:f(x) = 1/xHere, any valid x input will work, except x ≠ 0.  Do you see why?  Great, you can never divide by zero.Hope this helps

In simple words, domain is another word for the x-values in a set of ordered pairs. Example: List the domain (1,5) (4,8) (6,9) (5,2) (8,9) Your answer would be... Domain - {1,4,6,5,8} You know how a coordinate has an x and y number (x,y)? Well that is ALL the domain is. It is the number that is in the x position of the coordinate.
